Year 3

Welcome to the Year 3 home learning page:

We will be updating this regularly with ideas / work to help continue your child's learning.

Please check each week to the right hand side of this page for ideas and activities to do.

Mathletics activities have been set for the week and new activities will be uploaded each Monday.  Timestable Rockstars is also there to use.  Remember to complete a sound check every two weeks.

Accelerated Reader is able to be accessed using the following link: https://ukhosted100.renlearn.co.uk/2066971/

Your child will need to select 'I am a student' and enter their details as they would at school, we look forward to seeing which books they have been enjoying.  Try to read one book a week at least and do a quiz on it, keep those word counts rising!

To help keep your Maths skills sharp and ensure that you're not missing out on any learning that you would be enjoying if school was open as normal, please go to: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-3/  there is a lesson there for each day.  Watch the video and pause to solve the calculations - make sure you have a pen and paper handy!

BBC bite size are now producing daily lessons in most subjects.  They have videos to watch to help!

We have also used https://nrich.maths.org/14600 and  https://nrich.maths.org/mathsfair to help develop mathematical thinking and problem solving.  Please do look and have a go!op our

https://classroom.thenational.academy/subjects-by-year/year-3/  here you will find lessons for all subjects . We will guide you on the learning intentions to the ones we'd like you to focus on.

For those of you that prefer worksheets, please follow this link, but be aware, the children in school may be doing the day allocated for that week too. https://classroomsecrets.co.uk/free-home-learning-packs/#packs

Please let us know about all the learning activities you're doing at home.  If you could send an email at least once a week to homelearning@st-edmunds.suffolk.sch.uk.  We then know what you've been learning and can celebrate your success with you!

Make sure you have caught up with all the Mathletics tasks that have been assigned this year - we will set them weekly as usual. Keep aiming to break your own records with TT Rock Stars and have a go at the spellings we have set over the last few weeks!

Above all: Look after yourselves and your families and let us know if we can help in any way. We are remembering you all in our prayers - let us know if you'd like specific prayer for yourselves or people you know.

With all very best wishes,

Take care,

Miss Hamilton, Mrs Jackson, Mrs Harris and Mrs LeMoel.
