Whether you are a parent who is seeking a specialist placement for your child, a family whose child is currently attending our unit, or someone who is interested in finding out what we offer, our website aims to provide you with all you need to know.
The Nest at St Edmund’s provides a specialist setting where children can access a specifically tailored curriculum that promotes achievement in learning and independence for all. The UNCRC right to play is not an optional extra. It's fundamental to our physical, social, mental & emotional development. @StEds_ip33 How about trying a few of these ideas to keep you busy this week I'm off to find a water pistol! https://t.co/52CzQTkFFF
A few ideas which might be of interest over the summer or the months ahead. Singing in the rain shouldn't be too tricky at the minute.☔ We'd also love to see a photo if you manage to build a rock cairn. Make the most of being outdoors https://t.co/6Y0nqE0WGA
Happy Holidays to our fab #BikeTrain crew and passengers. Thanks to the High Sheriff of Suffolk @MarkPNewAnglia, who joined us on Fri for the last one of term. We clocked up 185 trains and 872 active commutes this school year! See you in September â€â™‚ï¸ Photo: April Urquhart https://t.co/jm2973OrWj

We welcomed @MarkPNewAnglia the High Sheffif of Suffolk yesterday to speak to a group of our children who use the @ecocarriersbse bike train or who regularly cycle to school. They were intrigued to learn about his role and the significance of the images on his badge of office. https://t.co/T4TXK8T4dt
We were fascinated to watch as Kecleon strolled along, keen to climb and explore where she was. We watched intently to see how she used her feet to climb. Quite uniquely, chameleons use their toes in bundles of two or three on the inside and outside of their feet to aid climbing. https://t.co/W6FH7LypFb
We had an extra member amongst our school community this week. Miss Findlay's yemen chameleon Kecleon came for a visit. The children in Yr3 loved having the chance to see her up close, especially as she was shedding when she visited, which only happens every couple of months. https://t.co/l5BNT2vpuw
Year 4 had a fabulous Viking Day yesterday. They came dressed for the occasion (staff included!) and enjoyed embracing the experience. https://t.co/EdW0D9DRVm
This week we are saying goodbye & good luck to our Yr6s. Whilst they will no longer be at St Eds, they have left us with many happy memories and they too have taken a wealth of memories with them. They enjoyed making memory jars to capture just a few of their memories. https://t.co/f09RYrXbIX

We had a great afternoon today as the EYs and KS1 children took part in their Sports Day events. Take a look at a few of the action shots from some of the different activities they took part in. https://t.co/sjmIpgNeNj
Does anyone fancy a fruit kebab? Yr 2 were hard at work this week carefully slicing and peeling fruit to make kebabs. Unsurprisingly, they enjoyed consuming them just as much as they did making them! https://t.co/c0TXw4F53Y
So glad we moved our child the best thing we could have done, lovely service today both Heads speak from the heart.

I just wanted to say thank you for all you have done for our child, we were so worried about the transition because of his additional needs but everything has run so smoothly and he is very happy.

I am so impressed with the way the children are conducting themselves, they are so focussed and want to achieve. Their class teacher has given them so much self-belief.

We ask you to extend our thanks and congratulations to everyone from the school who was involved in the carol service at the Sudbury library. We have known about music at the school right the way through our almost 40 years in Sudbury, so in that sense Saturday’s event was no surprise. In this day and age, however, it is simply glorious to see children performing with their school like this.

A big thank you for making St Edmund's school such a wonderful school for our children to go to.
